In order to set forth into the world as architectural designers of high caliber, students are required to master basic techniques of design, knowledge of structure to polish the power of architectural design based on bold and freewheeling ideas. The Department fosters architectural designers who can change the world while training their presentation ability to replace their artistic sparks with rational thoughts.

Here, students aspire to be architects who can create comfortable environments. Students search for architecture under the bold and free wheeling ideas by making full use of the extensive art university. While learning basic skills, students proceed to tasks for residence, apartment houses, offices, commercial facilities and public architecture from a viewpoint of substantial environments for people.

Environmental Design Field

Students learn about diverse spatial creation from housing to landscape planning.

We foster urban designers who create landscape harmonizing cities and nature. Studying environmental design from three directions such as landscape gardening, regions, and cities, students tackle landscape design such as private housing, gardens, parks, green and cities. Students learn about observation of cities and nature and their expressions while emphasizing the field studies.
